I have been living in the U.S. now for 10 years, it’s said easy but its a life time;
in fact in no time I will have spent more time here than in my own country.
I have lived, enjoyed and learned an immense amount of things here from finding my true love in life to finding what really drives me. And I will focus on that last one for a little; you see before coming to the U.S. and jumping into this crazy ride called advertising I was a graphic designer, meaning, in a sense I really never had to deal with the corporate world, as we know it.
So after 10 years, 2 cities, countless gigs, permanent and freelance, I came away with 3 things I have learned in my time here and I will share them with you in hopes that it will help you understand and navigate through some of the shit corporate America might throw at you.
1) NOW THAT I SEE THE BIG PICTURE I REALIZE HOW SMALL IT IS.
2) FEAR IS THE FEELING YOU GET RIGHT BEFORE SUCCESS.
3) THE HARDEST GAME YOU WILL EVER PLAY IS THE ONE YOUR MIND PLAYS ON YOU
So all this has me excited to see what the next years will bring. cheers
This interactive experience is pretty awesome. Now in my opinion the story is not engaging and fun, in fact it’s quite mundane and used, but what the story lacks in depth the execution exceeds in “wow” factor.
The use of interactivity is amazing transforming what once was a rich but static medium like Youtube into what I believe is one of the ways we will see brands interact with consumers. It really reminds me of a series of books I loved when I was kid called “Choose you own adventure”. Cheers.
I can see clearly... what a piece of shit you produced.
AND HERE IT IS…
Wow… this I think will be my first entry dedicated 100% to trashing and bashing. WTF is wrong with the people at Claritin and its agency. I mean, I have seen some shit done but this one is right there in the top 10.
So I will break it down for you.
Casting: The only word I can think of to describe is: HORRIBLE, totally non-believable characters (for fucks sake I know elevator operators that look more adventurous and athletic than that woman).
Acting- this one is beyond Horrible. There is not a redeeming scene or actor in the whole spot. It’s so bad, I don’t even have to point out the scenes… just look at the whole thing to see 30 secs of complete shit acting and behaving.
Dialogue: It’s just horrendous and cheesy. I mean really… someone actually wrote that shite. Where do they meet people that talk like that?
Anyhow, I leave you with this smelly hot piece of shit as an example of what NEVER EVER to do. I hope that at the very least the client and agency team had a blast filming in Costa Rica because if they didn’t, then it was for real a COMPLETE waste of money.
Yes, I know many people will jump on the sexist wagon. But before you do, you have to remember the year it was created. Back in the 90’s this was very risqué. In fact I remember boards being pull down in Mexico and Monterrey for complaints.
Anyhow, you can argue and disagree, but one thing you cant ignore is that anyone born before 1975 sure as hell remembers these.
