Why first impressions matter or Applying the Date Rate System to the Super Bowl Ads
This year I decided to do an experiment. I was not going to watch any previews, online versions or special screenings of ads in the spirit of writing my first reaction and feeling to the spots.
Let me begin by saying it was hard. Did anyone else notice they were everywhere? I mean, WTF? Everyone and their dog now days preview their spot online. Now, now, now, I understand the reasons but we better come up with some new ways to get more views and impacts in the future because this trick is going to be so yesterday next year.
As for the spots, I will get into some particulars in the next weeks but here is my overall assessment. Like it states there, the text you are about to read was spell checked and some of the sentences were finished but NO spots were reviewed or given a 2nd look.
